Pierre-André Utin (also André Utin) was a pewterer of Vevey, on Lake Geneva. This sheet is steward documentation from Bossard, Die Zinngiesser der Schweiz und ihr Werk, Band II (Vevey), with early Bürger notes from the Livre d’or des Bourgeois de Vevey (Chatelain Perret, 20 June 1749) as cited by Bossard — not a first-person voice and not a marks-registry product. Documented (Bossard): married Marie Gauchet. Marks described as Nr. 699 (legend year 1736) and later Nr. 701. Pieces dated 1764, 1765, and 1772 carry his mark alone. Quality marks such as a crowned F appear on some described objects. Dual-marking with his son’s Nr. 698 together with Nr. 701 is recorded, especially on Schützengaben. Probable (Bossard’s suggestion, not restated as fact here): the 1736 on mark 699 may mark the start of mastership. Do not read this sheet as “verified master 1736.” Judgment (Bossard’s, not Vayati assay): among the most frequent and finest pewterers around Lake Geneva; Vevey/Utin output pressed the Lausanne trade. Negative space: Bossard gives no street or house workshop address for the Utins (unlike a later Moriggi note in the same volume). Lifespan tension: this Echo previously carried 1688–1771; Bossard cites a 1772 dated piece. Treat endpoints as unresolved pending a dedicated source check. Catalog types in Bossard (Stegkannen, plates, teapot-form, Schützengaben) are literature examples — not Vayati inventory. The bonded JCastaway Relic remains the pewter plate 8b3ce064-08a7-4927-b1e1-8e643a3abbd4. No new Real relics are created from Bossard’s illustrated list.
