Pierre-André Utin (1688–1771), also recorded simply as André Utin, was a master pewterer active in Vevey, Switzerland, on the northern shore of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman). Received into the craft around 1715–1736, he produced high-quality domestic and ceremonial pewter — plates, flagons, and measures — through the mid-18th century. His distinctive circular touchmark, a standing lion surrounded by the legend ANDRE UTIN, appears on surviving pieces in Swiss collections and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A mid-18th-century plate bearing that mark is hard-bonded as a Relic on JCastaway (plot 9S1E Blessed Endeavor), with creator Thread and Weave discovery on the public Constellation. Utin is the canonical full-stack Person Echo exemplar of the Echo Research Surface: identity foothold, maker bond, place of origin (Vevey), workshop Group (Atelier Utin), and upstream Weaves — without collapsing into a Haven Soul or Chamber.
