Sheffield

Unverifiedplace

Also known as Sheffield, Yorkshire, Sheffield Assay Office town

Sheffield is the cutlery and assay town in Yorkshire where Maurice Baum (1848–1894) worked. This Place Echo is the origin bond target for the owned carving-set Relic and the geographic foothold for the name-stamp research Weave. It is not London. It is not a Jackson 1921 extract. It is not a Relic and not a Chamber. Albert Works, 189–191 Norfolk Street, lives on the Maurice Person sheet. Do not mint that street as a second Place in this package. Mowbray Street is after 1900 (firm / successors, not Maurice in life). Eyre Street is Baum Brothers (May 1900). Plate-only mounts on the owned set carry a name stamp or SILVERINE — not a lion-passant assay set.
