Maurice Baum (1848–1894). Albert Works, 189–191 Norfolk Street, Sheffield. Sheffield Assay Office sponsor 1884 and 19 January 1893. Plate-only carving-set mounts: name stamp or SILVERINE — not a lion-passant assay set. Sterling ferrules and flatware: MB + Sheffield crown + lion passant + date letter. SILVERINE is a white-metal trade line, not hallmarked. Mowbray Street is after 1900 (firm/successors, not Maurice in life). Widow Rachel continued the 1893 MB mark at least to 1899. Sons Louis and David registered Baum Brothers, Eyre Street, May 1900; limited company wound up 1925. Not a Jackson 1921 London extract. Not a Vayati-owned object. Not a Relic.
